Something isn’t working - and you can’t quite put your finger on it
You’ve tried to make sense of it but it just doesn’t quite add up.
I didn’t write this book to give you more advice or another list of things to try. I wrote it because over the years, I kept seeing the same patterns come up – in the way people talked about their relationships (or lack of), how their perceptions were making things worse, and how they couldn’t really make sense of their situations.
My first book Your Other Half looks at what’s actually going on. It explains how your mind shapes the way you interpret situations, form beliefs and react to what’s happening – and how that directly influences what follows. Once you understand that, you stop relying on guesswork or hindsight, because you’re able to read the room more accurately.
Reader's feedback
‘I love Sophie’s writing style, her words reflect her own life experience which also reflects the same as many of us, if we will admit it’.

Inside the book
The purpose of Your Other Half is to discover and explore the often-unspoken realities of relationships in today’s world:
Insights that resonate – Understand the deeper reasons why dating feels hard and why relationships can feel unfulfilling or disconnected.
Strategies you can actually use – Guidance you can apply on a daily basis, focused on behaviour not tactics.
A broader perspective on dating and relationships – Knowledge is power. Relationships aren’t easy and require a deeper understanding that goes beyond surface level.
For the singles – It’s not just about finding someone. It’s about the search for a real, meaningful and long-lasting connection that fits you, in a world where depth is often overshadowed.
For the committed – Beyond the comfort of long-term relationships lies the challenge of keeping the spark alive and continuing the journey together rather than in separate directions. Rediscover the joy and excitement that may have faded into routine.
The one that’s still not done
Breaking Free has been a labour of love and perseverance – it’s just not happening. Since 2020, it genuinely feels like everything’s working against it… every single time I try. I’ve done a draft, but to be honest, the only place it belongs is the bin.
I get asked quite often how it’s coming along and my answer is always the same… it’s not – because it really isn’t 😂
I’ve come to terms with the fact it’ll happen when it’s ready. Your Other Half was written and ready to go in five weeks, so there’s no reason it couldn’t happen like that again. It might even catch me off guard.
